Hey guys, don’t you just love that feeling you get of knowing you have finished a job and you are happy with the results. It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling that makes me want to get back out there and do it again and again, I would liken it to the feeling you get when you go to destroy a golf course with your miss swings and up root a tonne of grass only to hit that one sweet shot that sounded, looked and felt great and even went somewhere in the direction you wanted it to go!!! Or is that just me? anyways here are the pictures of the completed job up at the lovely township of Winfield. Thanks guys….
When we talk about fences we here the terminology used quite frequently “treated timber”. When building a fence we typically use 2 types of timber that are treated, pine and varieties of Australian hardwood. We treat the timber most commonly with a substance called Copper Chromium Arsenic or better known as “CCA”.
We have been treating timber here in Australia using CCA now for the last 50 years and there are approximately 120 treatment plants scattered around Australia. These days we have reduced the amount of arsenic to curb health issues to under 2% and is in effect a relatively safe choice of treatment so it is completely safe to use and works a treat (pardon the pun) to lengthen the life of your fence.

Aquaponics is a combination of Aquaculture & Hydroponics. This means that fish and plants are grown in an integrated system, creating a symbiotic relationship between the two.
An Aquaponic system uses the water from the fish tank to circulate through a grow bed where the plants are grown.
Nitrifying bacteria convert fish wastes into plant-available nutrients. The plants use these nutrients as their main nutrient supply. The fish also benefit from this process, as the water is filtered by the plants, giving the fish clean water to live in.
